starting point for ergo grips?

hi all,

i have just put on some ergo grips with integral bar end. what sort of position is a good starting point? i.e., the flat palm bit, flat, slightly up, slightly down?

so that your hands, wrists and lower arms are in a fairly straight line when you're riding to avoid bending the wrist
