Just saw this and your other thread... welcome... :hello:

Take it easy to start with ... what age are the boys? Depending on what they are like you could start off with just one cycling each day and taking it in turns? If you need to be keeping a very close eye on them.

And with regards to hills mentioned in the other thread ... walk them to start with .... or see how far up you can get before you get off and walk and try to get a bit further the next time. Nobody says you have to cycle them ...  I've got off and walked plenty of times ... you can always take your phone out and look at it or look in a shop as if that was why you got off - not that it matters anyway.

And cycling de-stresses me most of the time.

I should be doing the first school run of the year today ... but my 9 year old spent most of yesterday lying on the sofa feeling a bit dizzy and a bit hot - so its not looking good.

If they are both cycling on the road then make sure your partner is behind your son, and I also tend to sit a bit further out from the curb as well. Then at a junction I stop at the line next to him. Along the way I'm usually chatting to him and pointing out potential problems/risks etc - but at the beginning I would just tell him what you want him to do ... rather than explaining why - and then gradually build up his knowledge. My son has been doing it for years so his observation is getting fairly good.

:welcome: djmummy.... Fantastic your all cycling together, it won't be long before your 9 yr old will be telling you how to do it lol.. I think the kids find it a lot easier than us adults they take it all in their stride. cycling releases endorphins that make you feel good and less stressed, just what you need to counter balance those deadlines at uni. Good Luck x
