standard axel to QUICK RELEASE

Were can i buy then parts to convert a standard rear axel to a quick release axel ?.And is it hard to do ?,i had a bad experience this weakend repairing my girlfriends puncture on a mountain bike tail this weekend.No joke when using monkey metal spanners,the thing you do for love.

dead easy you just need to change the axle to one which can take a quick release - i.e. hollow. You'll need to deal with the bearings/cones etc of the wheel so uits a good excuse for maintainance

go to a lbs - should have one - its the sort of thing one has lying around after you've gone through a few wheels. You just need to get the right length/size axle for the wheel.

there are a few here, though personally i'd go to a lbs - should be able to sort you out with the right size axles and possibly cheaper too
