Anyone riding one?
I've been after a low maintenance other bike and my mtb doesn't fit so I see this as a good time to combine the two. I have a decent wheelset and some bars that I like, front disk only on my current forks.
I'm thinking of the on one inbred (http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FROOSSLTD/on_one_inbred_26er_single_speed_ltd_edition) as a frame, it has only disk mounts though so I would need to buy a rear brake (or a better front brake....) and either keep my heavy yellow suspension (ish its pretty seized) for or buy the rigid one (http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FOOOCR2...o_26er_mtb_fork_disc_only___white___disc_only) OR buy a new suspension fork (http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/FORSRET...00mm_fork_with_lockout___white___9_mm___1_1_8).
For a cross country bike running 2" tyres will I feel the benefit of the fork on the rough stuff (it adds a clear kilo in weight).
Then basically am I going to be happy with a single speed off road or should I build it up 1x10 or 1x9.......
I'm used to hills and know I could handle all the road riding I'd do on it with a SS set up, but don't really know about the off road side because I pretty much always do it on my tricross scared and bouncing in a low gear because I have too much air in the tyres.....
