SRAM / Shimano compatability?

Can I use a SRAM cassette on my Shimano hub? Thanks.

Should work just fine. For road components the only incompatibility with SRAM & Shimano is the differing pull ratios on the rear derailers. On the MTB side of things I'm not so sure about cross-compatabilty.
