Sram & shimano compatability

HI,

Apologies if this has been posted on here already. Does anyone know if SRAM shifters will work with a shimano 105 setup. I am recovering for snapped thumb ligaments and the SRAM shifters are far easier for me to use, but on my main bike I have 105. Thinking of swapping the shifters off my winter bike if they are compatible.

The front mech is but the rear mech will not as the sram shifter has a different pull ratio so you would need to move the rear mech as well.

Thanks. In that case then I may just buy new shifters and mech as I actually prefer using the SRAM stuff to shimano anyway.
