SRAM Shifters

Hi Guys

I purchased a set of sram x4 shifters 3 + 8 approx 3 weeks ago.
Just had something inside the 8 shifter break so it is being returned under warranty for repair/replacement.

I was wondering though if any one could recommend a better build quality of shifter (these are only made of plastic)

Shimano - but if you have a SRAM rear mech then you'll have to replace that too as SRAM use a different pull ratio to Shimano

I was hoping to stay with sram to keep the rear mech.

Not had any issues with my lads SRAM x4 triggers at all and it's been used and abused. These things either break early or you never have an issue. I had a set of Deore LX STI's break 25 years ago within a few days of being new (not a good idea when riding Snowdon). Got replacements fitted and they still work perfectly 25 years later.

Just bad luck.

Hopefully I will have better luck with the replacement
