hi all,i am looking to replace the crappy titan brake calipers on my bh bike,i was thinking of getting sram apex, they are significantly cheaper than 105 and come with swiss stop pads, just wondering is there any comptability issues,i should know about, thankyou

As far as I know when you buy a replacement brake cable its only 'road' or 'mtb' and not brand (Campy cable, shimano cable, SRAM cable) so my guess is it would work but seek more educated advice. Edit I'm wrong you do get separate campy cables from shimano, its a good job my campy brakes have never snapped

With 105 calipers I believe there are 2 types. the older 5600 and newer5700 have different pull ratios... alegedly. They newer ones need more cable pull that is supplier by the newer shifter.

I have the old and new 105 (on a secteur and roubaix)... There dont look to be much difference to be honest.
