I have decided to move from SRAM Red BB30 53/39 to a compact. It means going to SRAM GXP 24 running 50/34. However I need some sort of adaptor kit to shim down from the BB30 bottom bracket to the 24mm GXP shaft. Does anyone have experience of having done this and can recommend a good solution that does not break the bank?

Any guidance will, as always be appreciated, thanks.

Yes, but apparently only for the newer SRAM Red 22 YAW setup.
Mine is the older 2 x 10 and front derailleur is Exogram compatible, not YAW setup. Apparently the two are not compatible. Hence trying to sleeve down to 24mm GXP the BB30 I have already as a low cost 50/34 compact option.

However I am no expert and may well be wrong or misunderstanding it.

Don't know. I am running a Sram red gxp setup already but a standard double.
I know one or two people have used adaptors with bb30s on here certainly with hollowtech 2 and DuraAce setups with no issues.

So far the Wheels MFG adaptor seems favourite. At £30 a pair it seems a strong bet.
I guess I was just hoping for someone to say "yes, I've done it and they run fine". Wiggle want over £300 for a compact BB30 SRAM Red chainset!!! I got the GXP for £120 and with £30 adaptors meaning I am less than half price. Got to be a bargain, right?

Maybe someone will come along soon.....

Thanks for your input.
