I've been getting a ton of p*nctures recently, and have just swapped over to a pair of schwalbe marathon pluses.

I've got them in 32c, which are rated for 65-90psi. My track pump lacks a (reliable) pressure gauge, so I have to guesstimate, aiming for 85psi or so.

Having done this a few days go, I gave the tyres a good squeeze this morning (my newly installed paranoid routine after far too many flats!). They felt kind of squidgy...

Please tell me this is normal for puncture resistant tyres like these (i.e. the squidge is just occurring in the extra rubber/material of the tyre)!

That's a very good call for the future, thanks!

Just really hoping I'm not going to be getting out the tyre levers *again* tonight...

marathon pluses at 85 psi on a 32c tyre would give a rock solid run I would think , had 28c at 90 psi and the ride is very harsh .
Yes, they do feel a bit squidgy on the outside, and it's completely normal.
That was exactly what I was hoping to hear!! Now they've just got to weather the hawthorn trimmings etc on tomorrow's ride...

I haven't found the ride quality at all bad, but then I have been sticking to roads with decent-ish surfaces. It's certainly better than that squodgy feeling in the front tyre when climbing out of the saddle though!
