Squeaky/Creaky shoes

They are starting to drive me nuts now. Shimano SPD with a ratchet thing and two velcros straps but the creak all the time. I don't think they are leather so polishing them is out the question, any other ideas?

Vaseline.

Is the squeak coming from the shoes themselves, or where they touch the pedals/ cleats? Either way, a quick smear of vaseline should sort it out.

Thanks I'll give that a go. It's coming from the shoes as my foot moves around inside rather than from the cleat interface.

You could try regreasing the cleat bolts too.
