I own a diamondback response and as of late, I've noticed that whenever I turn the handlebars to the right, somewhere in the front area of the wheel squeaks. I'm planning on taking this bike to school with me for commuting in a bit over a week, so if anyone could help diagnose the problem so I could get rid of it would be great.

So when does the noise occur? Is it when you going a certain speed or does it happen when your stationary too? Does it happen when you turn the wheel past a certain angle? Is there anything that feels loose or wobbles?

You say it's only just started happening...did something occur just before the noise started appearing?

:welcome: just work your way through all the things it could be by giving the bike a service there's loads of info/videos out there and fixing bikes is quite satisfying and normally relatively inexpensive. If you get stuck on a particular bit then there's loads on here will help or google Sheldon Brown at Retro Raleighs for no-nonsense info (not just on Raleighs, but he's American so some terms are different like 'tires' for instance)
