I have a Cannondale supersix evo 105 that has got approx 100 miles and has developed a sort of squeaking from the headset more so when im out of the seat or putting pressure on it, i thought at first it was the seat post but soon worked out when i had front bake applied and doing a sort of of pumping on the front that was where it came from, as this is carbon will it be just a case of loosening the clamp and tightening the top steering cap.

Got RS31'S which are quite new and had them on my other bike and got nothing from the wheels, ive just had a go at loosening the handlebar stem bolts and got about an 1/8th of a free turn on the top cap, tightened all up and applied front brake and did that rock back and forth and seems quiet, but wont know till tomorrow pending the rain.

My opinion. Might offend.

Most 'STOCK' bikes are delivered in a box and just aligned to straight by the LBS.
There will be bugger all grease put on any surfaces other than checking the bike works on a jig. A small LBS will pull to bits and assemble, like mine does.

Its not the headset, its the seat/seatpost, when it started again today i took the pressure off the front and it was when i was bouncing over bumps, so tightened up the fore/aft seat bolt on my run and has reduced dramatically, just needs a bit more tightening and hopefully it all goes.

be careful, I snapped my bolt once far from home and had to cycle 15 miles with no saddle to get a pair of pliers to extract the broken bolt and replace temporarily it with one from the stem. Maybe it just needs a touch of grease/paste?

The seatpost is ally and the adjustable seat clamp is as well, so would i need copperslip or carbon paste for the seat post in to the carbon frame and a touch of copperslip on the seat rails
