The Polkadot challenge opens today, anyone doing it, or has anyone done it in the past - if so whats it like ?

I'm tempted !

£25 entry and for charity - got to be good !

did this last year the 100 miler, i must say it was the hardest ride i had ever done, was so glad the weather was rain and not boiling hot and windy like it was the previous day otherwise would have been utter purgatory! did it in 7hrs 20, with stops taken off worked out about 6 hrs 40.i preferd this one as they limit the riders to about 500 so the food stops are not mad and emptied.the organisation was excellent very well marked out. def recommended and think i will be riding again this year.oh if you do it be careful when you do the long descent with all the cattle grids and sheep!!

Not done it yet. Most likely 2012 when my shoulder is fixed. Lots and lots of climbing, and lots of home made cake. Its run by a club so no profit, and procedes go to charity. Its a tough one by all accounts.
