I rashly signed up for this years Spud Riley event, the 100 mile option. Don't normally do any of my own rides beyond 50 miles max so starting to get an anxious feeling about this. Anyone else doing the Spud this year?
Crikey that one will hurt the legs the only flat you'll see will be a puncture my god they've been harsh Im tempted. Care to comment on the road surfaces whats descending gonna be like?
It's usually very well stocked at the feeds from what I've heard. It's a real tough route. The weather has been terrible the last two years for the event - I believe it was very bad last year. I've not ridden it, but hope to - might give it a go next year.
Gulp, wonder if I can bail out on to the shorter route on the day..
I know the bit around Woodford and of course I know Pott Shrigley (how could anyone own a bike here in Stockport and not?) but apart from these then a lot of it will be uncharted territory for me both geographically and physically
