spraying a carbon fork

I am watching ebay for a carbon fork for my "ribble" rebuild as the one that came with it had been cut so i have to run a shorter flipped stem.Anyway most of the ones i have seen are the wrong colour or brand so what options have i to respray at home ?

Just flatten the existing paint with a fine wet & dry (2400 grade) and thoroughly degrease then rattle can paint job in the colour of your choice. Don't try to remove the existing paint either mechanically or chemically or you risk damage to the carbon fork if you get it wrong.

As above but I’d use an enamel rather than cellulose paint. Finish might not be very durable.
