Nipped over to Tesco on lunch and walked passed the bike rack thing outside, had a nose to see what people are riding about on, when I spotted......
.... BACKWARD FORKS!
Was a Reebok branded MTB thing.

Would have taken a snap shot but I'd left me phone at work.

First one I have come across "in the wild" since taking up cycling. Gave me a laugh.

Amazing, that Tesco road 'bike' has 26" wheels and a 700C frame... apparently!

And alongside the one above is a picture of one of these - I spotted one on the road a couple of days ago. The first thing I noticed was that they'd misspelled Vitesse. It was its main feature...

LOL, I have ridden almost 3000 miles on my misspelled Vittesse this year, including s couple of sportives and Audaxes!!

You need to change the saddle though, appalling thing that comes with it will pretty much kill you!

When you find yourself loitering around tescos bike racks dribling thats when you have to admit you have a problem.

lol.
I'm on about the bit where you lock your bike to if you've gone into the shop, not the bikes for sale.

Ha ha. I know you were.
I do the same thing but i have the excuse that im chaining my bike up.

Never seen anything "nice" there it's always propper beat up old junk. I suppose people might be using a "hack" bike if they're locking it up outside but I'd have thought you'd see the odd nice bike getting used.

I think I may have developed a problem since taking up cycling though. Before I'd have just looked at the colours of the bikes and what ones looked neatest.
Now I look directly at what components people are using and if they are maintained well.

Are you insinuating that my bike is a beaten up old hack ? :stop:
I did use to go down to tescos on my custom built £5k cannondale but i was put off, not so much by the risk of theft, but by all the drooling bike pervs.

I am sorry about that. but you should be able to get back on the cannondale now that I have received my asbo banning me from Tesco
