Sporty Thighs

Uncle James and I were helping with a cycling event in Colchester today, at Essex University. We were there with our recumbents, chatting to various people. One man had been chatting to Uncle James for a bit, then he asked him, "does your wife do cycle racing?"

This was a bit of a surprise, it's not something I've ever done and I tend to be a bit of a plodder on the trike. So I said, "No, I've not done any racing, what made you ask?"

He replied, "it's your sporty thighs."

Argh, a man discussing my thighs... with my husband no less! The chap beat a hasty retreat soon after. I'm a bit perturbed now, though, that I have unladylike legs...

I wouldn't worry about it, I've also had muscled lower legs, because I first did horse-riding and then cycling. Always get complimented on my legs though and have even had people feel them when i tense them. Wierd.

I have got sporty legs. From ice skating, and hockey and horse riding, and football (five a side) and more football, and more skating and then boxing and....

On a related subject, I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen a photo of someone on a Recumbent who DOESN'T look like they've got a giant stomach. It's the most unflattering cycling position ever!

I have found that riding bikes and trikes will work both sides of your legs. Kovu I know what you mean I have had that as well mostly lady's asking if they can fill my thighs .

One of my house mates had a friend stay last night. I was just in the kitchen making a Coffee in my dressing gown and they came down and she could not keep her eyes off of my legs

An ex girlfriend had the most lovely muscular legs. She didn't cycle though, she had twins, and couldn't drive, so ended up pushing a double buggy around for years.
