I recently purchased a cam from sport-cam.co.uk on the Thu6th of october, at the time i explained i needed this cam for the 1st of November for a recording session i've organised which is a major part of my degree.

At the time they explained the cams were out of stock but are due on the following day- i agreed and they said i should expect the cam the following week.

My card was put though on the Monday the 10th and to date i've had no delivery. I've phoned them on a couple of occations and was promised a call back. I phoned this morning at 10- 11.20 and 2pm and 3 pm everytime i was pormised a call back and still no luck.

So i've got a week until the film session and still no cam. What ever happens i'm going to have to purchase another cam because the deadline on this filming session cannot be changed.

After checking my statment the transaction was put though using paypal- so spoke to paypal this evening and they explained it is possible to claim my money back through them but i'd rather not go down that route if it has honestly got lost in the post. but having, what i feel, being fobbed off i'm really irate about the situation.

Has anyone used this company? Any suggestions of what i should do now?

I've since phoned Dog cam sport and they have them in stock ready for dispacth so i know i can get one in time but not too happy about having to buy another one

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Andrew

I can give a +1 to dog cam sport, ordered bullet HD 00:15 thursday morning, arrived 10:00 Friday, have just unpaccked it and plugged it in to charge it up.

As to your predicament with sportcam.co.uk, I wouldn't mess about, get your claim in pronto.

Been looking into the Bullet HD could you let us know how you get on with it please.

The first one seems exaclty like the same senario i'm currently having.

I'm going to give it until monday

I've sent them a demadning but fair email with an ultimatium. I really really hate bad customer service, i used to work as a service advisor in a garage so not returnings is a serious sin, i understand these people may be busy but i didn't think a phone call was too much work

Ok the plot thickens- Ive phoned paypal and they have advised me that the payment was made through a 'guest' account to a gift account.

Unless i can fonfirm the email address or telelphone number used on this 'guest' account they can't do anything

i think i have been taken for a mug

If you used a credit card to fund the paypal purchase you could always try to charge back through that.

I don't agree with what paypal are saying. sounds very dodgy.

I've spoken to my bank today- they have advised that because i phoned up and ordered it i can't claim my money back through the regular fraud channel, but give me a few ideas including going in with the telephone number and getting them to phone on my behalf.

I paid over the phone using my debit card but obviously they have used paypal to process my transaction. But the money has been transferd using a guest account into a 'gift' account- sound like fraud to me

but anyway it's looking doubtful at the moment :/

I think this company, sponsor the Real Peloton Podcast with Ned Boulting and Matt Rendall. It would be interesting if it was a fraudulent transaction
