split links

hi,

i just need to order an 8 spd chain split link, but cant figure where from. i have a 5 6 7 split link but the pistons aren't long enough to pop through the chain. ive also tried a 9 spd split link and again too short.

they dont do an 8 spd link?

have i got it wrong or can someone point me in the right split link direction? cheers mark

2 different length of pins available but seems to be compatible with 7 or 8 speed.

nice one potsy thanks. do you know how i would know if mine were a HG? thanks. or should i just measure the chain with my vernier gauge?

im just thinking, it would seem a better option to purchase a complete chain especially since they seem to be half price on wiggle,

I've had a couple of beers tonight, I will admit, but they do look a bit fuzzy!

Pictures didn't really help but sometimes a new chain won't mesh with an old worn cassette is all.
