Just a reminderto everyone to drink lots of SPIRITS over the christmas period.
Beer is fattening, and we don't want to have to bail you out like the banks.

think I'll stick with my beers and wines and put up with feeling like a slug for a week after New Years.

you're the epitomy of people who clog up gyms in the new year!;), thinking you're going to 'burn off all the christmas lard'. when in reality you never actualy do get ridof fat that you pile on, it stays. I've got fat that i've had since i was in my teens. There's always carbs to burn before that - you're never going to burn off beer, unless you run or cycle atleast 5 miles home from the pub, which is actually not a bad idea.

Depending on how many beers you had while you were at the pub. Could be a very bad idea:biggrin:

I drank nearly a whole bottle of Highland Park (among other things) last night with one of my colleagues, so I'm, er, off the booze today. I felt so bad when I woke up that I was worried in case I didn't die.

Surely a whiskey should be drunk on it's own or with the same measure of water..

Unlkess of course you are drinking Bells or Teachers and not some very nice mature malt..
