Looking for some new clothes ... what are your thoughts on speg gear. Thanx!. or alternatives at similar price

I have had no problems with any of the kit that I have bought from them although haven't done many miles in the bib longs and short sleeved top yet owing to the items being ordered at the wrong end of the season for each item  .

The stuff I have from them seems decent enough.

Do be warned their sizing is more like normal clothing sizes than cycle clothing sizes. The first shirt I ordered was way too big for me

I like Speg gear. I've got cycle shorts, long sleeve jersey and just bought an Adapta jacket. All has worn well and the jacket is good value for £30. It's all pretty good quality for the price so there are no complaints from me, I highly recommend Speg.

I brought a Speg winter jersey on E-Bay a couple of weeks ago, they were advertised as seconds just cos they had a very slight blur on the logo,s. A complete bargain at £20 !!.... I honestly cant fault them in any department, lovely and toasty in the cold mornings with just a full length base layer on underneath.

I like the look of their jackets too ..........

I in the market for something to put on over my base layer on cold days that will keep my warm and dry. I had a look for the Speg jersey that TW-Steve mentioned and only found it in a small size at the cheaper, "seconds", price. Too small for me as my chest 37" which makes me a medium.

This seems to be the one mentioned:

They do sell the medium size on eBay for £28 + £3.50 delivery but I have found it slightly cheaper on CCUK's own website for £28.59 inc. delivery.

Keep Calm and OMG.......CAKES!!
I have 2 pairs of Speg baggy shorts and 2 pairs of 3/4 length trousers. All have been worn and washed numerous times and still look good and fit well

I got my winter jersey off them today, two working days for delivery is quite good

I really like it, the fit is quite nice, good and snug but with a bit of stretch to accommodate any extra layers or a large-ish gut

The fleece on the inside is really quite warm and should keep me nice and toasty on the cold days when used with a base layer. I just need to decide whether to use it on it's own or have the BL underneath as well, it depends on the temperature but seeing as it is a jersey in its self I see no reason why it can't be used alone.
