A good buy for someone; I had a Tricross a few years back and loved it. Actually, technically I STILL have it, but my brother "borrowed" it as I couldn't bring myself to sell it. I doubt if I will ever ride it again 
. If the bike in the OP was a 58cm I might even be tempted as it has disc brakes rather than the less than great rim brakes on mine.
