FWIW every pair of cycling shoes/boots I've ever bought have always been one size bigger.

Wiggle and CRC, (maybe others too), do free returns so that does help.

Or, simply visit your LBS*. That way you can try them on, make sure 1st time and build that all important cyclist/LBS relationship at the same time;)

*this does not mean visit LBS, try them on, clock the prices then bugger off and order them online BTW:thumbsdown:

Secialized shoes do come up as a bigger fit then the same in Shimano, Northwave and Sidi in my experience.

I have Tahoes, a 44 fits well. I also have Sonomas in a 43 and they are big, probably as they are wider

Go to a shop and try some on. Or buy both pairs online from a site with free returns and send back the ones that don't fit

I find Specialized shoes to be a good fit in my normal size. uk12 euro 47. They can be a little tight for me if wearing thick socks, so I opted for a 48 in my touring shoes & they are a touch too big
