Have had a recent increase to my cycle budget and am strongly considering a Sirrus. I have noticed that the 2011 model is, on the whole £50 cheaper than the 2010. I can't see any real reasons as to why, except that the pedals aren't clipped anymore. Does anyone have any information on this price change? Have they lowered materials quality?

Thanks, good point. I did send an email to a LBS asking the same question. What they said was that if the prices were lower then they have lowered the quality of the materials. That said, I've looked through the two sets of specs and they appear pretty similar. Same tyres, frame, running gear etc.

Sirrus Sport 2010 model has carbon forks, whereas 2011 model only has aluminium ones.
Sirrus 2010 has 8 rear gears, but 2011 has 7.

So there are some subtle differences in spec. This might explain the reduction in pricing.

Hi all, I am new this site and new to the world of hybrid bikes in general.

I am considering buying a Sirus. I found one online which has the frame from a Sirrus expert, but the components on the bike are equivalent to the Sirrus base model.

Does anyone know if this is worth the £350 asking price?

Many thanks
