I have the 2009 Roubaix Elite. And darn it if I don't actually love the bike to bits.
Very nice to ride. Smooth and comfy. Very quick out of the blocks. I did have to change the brakes from the stock to 105's. The stock Tektro's were rubbish.

I do notice that the 2010 30 has a triple (hence the 30 I suppose), My 2009 is a compact double.

Do note that you can get other bikes for less money with better spec. Check out Planet X for example. But if this is the bike you ahve set your heart on, then go try one out. You will not regret it.

Thanks for the feedback Ian, my problem is that this baby is partly funded by an Evans RTW voucher so I have to get from Evans (I should have mentioned in my previous post).

If you think there is a better bike for the money from Evans then I am open to change... maybe ;)

I'm hoping to get a little discount as I'm getting a £500 specialized for the wife too (sadly out of my own pocket).

I too have a Roubaix mine is the Comp. i test rode tons of bikes and set my heart on an Orbea but after riding the Roubaix their was no going back for me. The position and the ride really made my mind up.

The best advice that was given to me at the time was to go and test ride. Evans let me have my bike for an hour test ride.

I have a test ride booked in for next week, hoping it rides as well as it looks. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought, no one seems to have any negatives so far.

threebikesmcginty... I did consider another Cannondale, I was looking at this but the arrival date keeps moving apparently because Cannondale are delaying shipment. So thought it could me time to try something else.
