Hi all

A friend at work is thinking of getting a Specialized Myka Sport Disc. From my inexperienced eye it looks pretty good for the money (RRP is £500, she's been offered £399).

What do you lot think? Any others she should look at? Although it's a MTB, she will only be doing light offroad, so an MTB is not strictly necessary.

Cheers.

If only light Offroad, maybe an Ariel (women's version of the Crosstrail) will make more sense? If has lock-out forks, will be a good winter road going bike.

Fudges in Epsom and Pearsons in Sutton (among others) have had some deals on 2011 Specialized (I got £100 off a 2011 Sirrus Elite from Fudges a couple of weeks ago)

It's a good time for deals - lots of 2011 bikes in the £500 range have £100 off as the dealers try to clear them out before the 2012 bikes come in.

Yes, the Ariel looks a better bet, so I've suggested she look at that.

Thanks.
