It's a wee bit different and I'm only just getting my head around it. Have I understood it right? The main locking collar that is clamped by a 6mm hex from the right has two functions: it holds the shock unit in place and exerts upward pressure on the steerer to compress the bearing system, right? That pressure is created by screwing down the two 2mm hex grub screws inside their locking 2.5mm grub screws, right?
Do they press down on the top bearing and pull the bottom bearing upwards?
So what is the purpose of the small 2.5 mm dome-headed bolt on the front of the collar?
Another question: one of my 2mm grubs has somehow locked itself to its 2.5mm grub, which is very tight to unscrew, to the point where I'm worried I'm going to damage it. What happens if I gently unscrew it all the way out?
The entire collar can be lifted off the steerer, right?
Thanks!
