Has anyone got any experience with this saddle? I am still looking for a saddle that does not cause numbness (already got gel shorts). Will pop into Edinburgh Bicycle tomorrow to take a look but just wanted to see if anyone has already got one to point out anything...

Saddle too heavy?

Thanks for that. I am relatively new to road bikes over from mtb's and dont have a Carbon stead yet so should be ok on that front.

I have the same saddle fitted to my Boardman CX ... great saddle if you can adapt to it (we're all different) I've had no problems with it, even on a long trip it felt comfortable. Remember do not wear too much padding on your rear, or that will cause a numb bum too.

Another good saddle and much cheaper is the Charge Spoon which I've used and recommended, by many members who own them.

Saddles are a personal thing, what might suit one person may not suit you .. go to your local bike shop and have your sit bones measured, I know it sounds daft, but it will help you go a long way to find the correct saddle for your needs.

Thanks for that. Its not the bum that goes numb, its the other part...

I tried the Spoon today, but it did not feel like the sit bones were being supported enough and pressure was still being exerted where it should not. I was figuring that the large cut out on this one would be better

Ive tried measuring myself tonight on the memory foam bed. Comes out at around 145mm so I guess the 155mm will be the one. Will ask them to size it properly tomorrow though.

Got the saddle today. Went to have a look at it and it looked great so I bought it. Looking forwards to trying it out now, so lets hope it is ok. If not then the search continues.

I've got a Romin saddle, not sure which one though. And it has been the best bit of kit bought for my bike. No more numb nuts.

Did you get your arse measured for the right size? I think that could make a big difference to comfort.

Yeh it was the 155 which I needed. Fitted it on to the bike last night, looks good.

Well I did 115 miles on the saddle last night, and I can honestly say that it was the only time since I got my road bike that I have not been numb afterwards. Bit sore on the sit bones like, but that is to be expected whilst it beds in I guess. Brilliant stuff.

Really really good thanks. Very comfy and no problems or pains at all any more. Even recommended my brother to get one I was that pleased. Thanks again.
