For sale is my beautiful Specialized Stumpjumper MTB.
It's been serviced and is in full working order, but not been ridden for two years, as it's surplus to requirements.
So, it's got to go.
To give an idea of size, the frame as pictured is 17.5 inches and and is set up for a normally-proportioned 5'8" male with a 30" inside leg.
The frame is made from 'aluminium and ceramic particulates' - so said the blurb at the time and is very light and stiff.

Never been pranged, but it does however have the normal, honestly-gained scuffs and paint chips you'd expect on a 14 year old bike, that's been ridden and loved until recently….ie I still love it, but don't ride it.
XT dérailleurs and shifters, chainset/cranks, v-brakes (calipers and levers), eight speed cassette.
Wheels are hand built. Radially spoked on the front with Middleburn hub onto a Mavic X517 rim. This hub is not disc-specific, - it runs freely, but does feel a bit lumpy. The rear is built with a Hope hub onto the same Mavic X517 rim.
U.S.E. suspension seat post.
Pace RC 36 suspension forks, which are disc brake compatible.
New Hutchinson tyres.
Cane Creek 'Ergo' bar ends.
No pedals.
£350, plus whatever it costs for carriage.

Want more pics or more specs? Just ask.

Very nice.

Here for rides.
I know someone who may be interested. Where are you, as she will want to come and take a look, and what year is the bike?

why are the forks the wrong way round ??
They're not. The v-brakes are located on the rear of the fork so they work on the same principle as the rear brakes ie the rotational force of the wheel draws the calipers towards the frame, making the brakes less susceptible to judder and or noise and so more powerful - at least that's the theory.
My Thorn touring bike has its front v-brakes on the rear of the fork too.

£300 anyone?
It's got to go.
At the moment it's just standing there looking very forlorn.
Needs someone to use it and love it.
