I wouldn't say they are expensive.
More middle ground.

I would say that these Specialized are better.

I can recommend the specialized ones. I bought a pair last month & first ride was a 3 day tour, bit of a gamble I know, but they are really comfy & far better for walking than my mtb shoes. I bought mine from Hargroves as they had stock & despite showing at £69.99 once at checkout stage the price dropped to £66.49, bit of a result  They were cheaper elsewhere, but nowhere seemed to have a 48 in stock

I use the Specialized for touring and would recommend them. Stiff enough for long hard riding, and practical enough to walk in.

Advising on shoes is very difficult as everyone has different shaped feet. What is good for one isn't necessarily good for another.

The best advice I can give is go and try some on, then choose.

^ this, if you have standard issue european broad feet. The shimano ones are made to a much narrower last though I'm told they are doing wider fittings these days.

I have the RT 82s and they are a good shoe for the price. I bought 1 size up - normally size11s but bought 48s they fit just fine and I have broad feet

I've found the Aldi / Lidl ones to be perfectly fine.
Fit OK, last well, comfy and ruddy cheap. What's not to like?

Those particular shoes are still pretty narrow Greg. I tried a pair on in Evans. IIRC they do a wide version of the same shoe.
