Think I've made a mess up when buying my spd-sl pedals and and shoes. I went for the 105 PD5700 Spd-sl pedals with some shimano rt32 shoes, gone to install the cleats and am totally lost. They don't seem compatible?? Have I bought the wrong type of shoes or are the cleats wrong?

Be reading a bit on the forums now I think the pedals are fine as I want road ones but the shoes with a 2 bolt system seem wrong and not compatible for the pedal???

Obviously a begginer and learning as I go along, if anyone could let me know if they can work or if not a recommendation for shoes. Thanks

After a quick google it looks like the shoes are SPD and pedals are SPD-SL. Yes, you got the wrong combination. You need to exchange either the shoes or the pedals and get compatible.

EDIT: I didn't notice you said you wanted to change the shoes. I have SPD-SL pedals and I got Shimano RO87 shoes. I have had them a couple of months and they seem fine. My first pair of bike shoes so I have nothing to compare them to. I am sure in the Accessories section you will probably get a lot of suggestions.
