SPD shoes to wear all day

Hi guys,

I've been loving my SPD-SLs on any recreational riding but I find having to carry a change of shoes to uni every day rather laborious.

I'm wanting to switch to SPDs.

Does anyone have any shoe recommendations? Something that looks a bit more like a trainer, wont sound like I'm wearing high heels when I'm walking in them but is resilient enough to not fall apart when I put the power down?

I wear Shimano AM-50's. The cleats are almost unnoticable when walking, although I'm not sure I'd really want to be walking around in any cycle shoe all day.

When I was at uni I just wore my LIDL mtb shoes all day (to be fair I was doing a masters course and was on my butt most of the day) but I guess a lot of mtb shoes will fit the bill.

I'd say most spd shoes would be reasonable enough once they've softened up a bit.

Specialized Sonoma are pretty trainer like. Bontrager sport look like shoes. I am guessing you'll wear the cleats down faster if walking a lot on pavement

+1 for the Spesh sonoma, wore them constantly for three weeks touring and they are still as good as new

I have a pair of Shimano MT22's. Very ordinary looking and have a rubber sole so they flex when walking.

DZRs here; slight clack, due to my adding thin shims under the cleats to get better pedal lock-on.
