New to the clipless system.

Purchased some spd and specialised shoes to go with it. I got the bike shop to do all the fittings on the shoes and put the pedals on.

Tried the spd inside next to the door and can clip in but find it very difficult to unclip.

Looking at the forums, it says they come with maximum tightness. How do I make them loose, I think it's the screw at the bottom. Do I turn anti clockwise to make them loose.

Also how do I adjust the angle of the boots.

Thanks

With a allen key ( I think 4mm). There is a small hex shaped nut on the pedals, turn anti clockwise to loosen it off. I went as loose as it could go and keep trying them and tightening it until it was just right.

Remember though, there is 1 screw for each side of the SPD pedal.

Be careful though, because you can slack them off too far. Do it in plenty of light, and look carefully at the red plastic indicator underneath the screw assembly. Only wind the allen key anti clockwise until the red tag is flush with the metal. The instructions warn you that the screw assembly will be undone altogether, and the only way to put it back together is a full stripdown.

Lucky you! I'm going to be at work. Wish I could go out for a nice bike ride instead. Doubt you will see this in time but I you do; take the Allan key with you, just incase you need to make adjustments on the trail.
