Spanner sizes

I seem to have lost all dozen or so spanners somewhere, what's the size I need to buy for the pedal nut?

15mm usually.

Edit to add that clearance may be tight so a dedicated pedal spanner is a good idea.

I have a cheap icetools pedal spanner with attacked box spanner which is surprisingly good for the price

While we are at it - check the recommended torque and grease/thread locker as I am sure this is where a lot of those mysterious creaks emanate from.

Torque is debatable but if you'd like to take your pedals off again at some point in the future, adding a spot of grease would be a good move.
