SORA Bottom Bracket

Hi guys I got a specialized 2011 Allez Sport 9 speed double front rings.

If I get my crank arm and position it vertically there is some slight monument If positioned parallel with the ground less movement ...No noise at all Do you think this needs replacing ?? If so how do I tell what to but unlike my Specialized Mountain bike where every thing has part numbers This dont all I can see on the cups are ..
BC1.37 X 24 Road and what looks like 1G or IG

Is there any where I can get a parts list for my year bike ???

Sounds worn out.

What groupset is it..

If it's SORA, it's likely a square taper cartridge BB an when they wear you get play, sometimes without noise.

It will be a 68mm BB shell, but you will need to measure the axel length - it's usually printed on the BB shell, but you'll need to remove it. Can you post a photo of the non-drive side.

At a guess you'll want a UN54 BB - get the ones with the alloy locking cup.

Something like this will be fine, you'd also need a tool to remove it too, easy-ish job with the right tools and a little patience.

Ok it says the Shimanno BB-UN 54 is no longer made but the BB-UN 55 is the same ?? presume this is the one the screw cups you just re use ? and waht tools guys dont mind buying them as have them then for future use

Yes the stem the guy I got it off said he put it on that way up and to turn it over if I want the bars lower (normally a MTB man me ...my first road bike)

You don't want one of those. You need a Hollowtech II (type road 68mm)

No, that's the wrong thing. You need the sort shown in @potsy 's post above yours. The one you show is a square taper, which @fossyant wrongly, I'm afraid, guessed is fitted.

Lol mending it is harder than riding it first trips out and I did 35 mile Friday and me first 105 mile on Saterday along the coast road followed by 38 Sunday ......I NOW know why you all wear Lycra shorts not combats like I ride my Mountain Bike in lol ......Legs ok mind set good but ooo the backside

Having the stem upside down will put more pressure on your backside too. Getting the right position is essential for comfort.

i do the same on my commuter, gives a slightly more upright position from which to get a better view of the traffic…
