I was back on the bike after 3 days. It was a little nippy, but settled after a week. By now it should all be behind you. How are the new wheels?

Dont want to alarm you but my mate had one a couple of years ago and he got an infection in one of his..... errrm nuts... and it swelled up like a flippin' coconut !! He was off the bike for ages 'cos of it.

As pointed out, it should be settled more or less by now.

Take away the pain but leave the swelling doc! I had a hernia and snip at the same time, back on the bike in 3 days. Mind you I was a bit more commited then.

Can I suggest that "driving me nuts" was maybe not the best choice of phrase.

I don't need a vasectomy. I'm married.

I thought I had recovered from my hernia repair done at the end of September. I had a puncture on Tuesday, changed the innertube, pumped it up and got going again. The bending over, pumping up the tyre seems to have strained it though; felt uncomfortable since. I thought I might get a CO2 gas bottle type device to pump it up in future if I need to out on the road but I don't really like relying on them. Has anyone any suggestions about a good pump that makes it easy to inflate to high pressure without bending too much and busting a gut?

I'll be back on my bike Monday after ten days off it after that particular operation.. all seemed well again within 24 hours. What I find most irksome is moderating my intake of chocolate bars and cake during the day at my desk.

Mostly due to needing the car for work, I'd have been cycling from Monday this week if I had not needed to drive !
