Not cycling related but a brave man worth a mention. He's a 20 year old Kiwi rugby player who is feared drowned after swimming out into difficult waters to help save other people including his sixteen year old brother. The others were rescued by lifeboats but he is feared drowned after being swept out to sea. Sonny had been doing extra training and would have been exhausted before getting into the water. Lifeboats, two helecopters (one paid for by his club), team mates, family friends and a couple of bus loads of fans have searched the coastline but so far he hasn't been found.
