Some helmet questions

Assuming no prangs or physical damage, do helmets have a finite life?

Is there a green method of disposal?

Are there any charities or other organisations out there have a need for them?

Bell (the manufacturer of mine) say generally 3 years, but tbh if it looks ok I'll keep it longer because no I don't believe there is a green method of disposal. Although you could recycle it in to something else for a while. For example a hanging basket.
