Im more local than stu, and I have always wondered how the Synapse compare to the Secteur and Roubaix... It was a very close call but having 2 spesh concept stores nearby and once they let me have a play on them the deal was done.

Just getting over an adductor strain myself, sorry to be the bearer of more bad news but mine took 8 weeks before I could manage any distance over 5 miles on my bike. Time and rest really is the healer for that injury.

To answer one of the other posters, I think my strain was due to a couple of things but I don't know for sure. Firstly I have flat feet which left uncorrected cause my knees to rotate inwards which causes the adductors to do
More work than they should, so I have special
Insoles to sort that out.

Secondly I think my glutes need to be stronger to help control my hip and leg lateral movement so it's not the adductors doing all the work. Adductor strain is common in sports where you change direction quickly such as football but you can strain it through cycling of you have poor foot position on the bike (like me!).
