Resolutely on topic
I’m having a clear out and have decided to sell my Secteur. It was my first new bike when I returned to cycling ten years ago. Since then it has been used mostly as a commuter and light tourer but in recent years it has hardly been ridden at all.
It’s a large size, 56 cm, with a good range of gears by way of a 3x8 triple chain set. The shifters are the old thumb button style Sora. It has mismatched wheels, a Shimano R500 on the front and for touring I fitted a Mavic Open Sport 36 spoke on the back. It is a really comfortable bike for long distances and has mounts to take a rack.
Now the downside. There is a dent in the down tube which you can see in the attached photos. I believe the bike remains structurally sound, but anyone that buys it to ride rather than as a source of parts will need to be aware. I have ridden it several thousand miles since the off that caused the damage.
I‘m looking for £125, which is probably less than the value of the parts if I broke it up. Inspection / collection in Purley or central London. If there’s no interest here I’ll advertise it on EBay. Need more details or photos? Just ask.
