I am selling my Trek 1.2 road bike. 56cm frame (suits approx 5'8 to 6'1 depending on preference and inside leg ). Extremely good condition and has the major advantage of full mudguards fitted so ideal for the winter. Will also take a rack (can sell you one if you want one too). No frame damage, and only the scuffs and marks of general use.

Aluminium frame, carbon forks, Sora rear mech, 2200 STI levers, triple chainset (50/39/30) and 12-26 (poss 25) cassette. Photo and full spec here http://www.trekbikes...2008/archive/12

Changes from original spec are

  • different saddle
  • pedals not included but I can possibly stick some basic flat ones on
  • much better brakes (now Tektro R538) than original which were not very good.!
  • brand new seatpost (alloy)
  • mudguards) front one has slight kink where I got something trapped in it. Now back in shape to 99% of original standard
  • chain and cassette a few months old
  • Conti Gatorskins in good overall condition
  • Fizik dual bar tape in black and red
  • bottom bracket was replaced almost immediately as original failed.
It is a 2008 model that I bought in Oct 2009. I have done 4000k. I am buying a better specced version of the same bike as I really like it. As a superb all round entry level bike this will go on Ebay for £250+ but I would like to give forum members a chance to buy first. £230 to you. If not it will be on Ebay at the weekend.

Feel free to PM me and come and have a spin. I can email photos of any specifics but cannot do the pics today as am away

Postage with RM parcels should be about £20. This will need some disassembly (partic removal of front mudguard, brake and handlebars). So you need to be confident of reassembling it all! Not that hard - I have done it a few times with no problems)

UPDATE with link to pics

http://trekonepointtwo.weebly.com/ for pics. I have not had the chance to clean it within an inch of its life as I had planned but this should give an overall idea of the condition. Wheels are straight and the bike runs well. The only damage (hardly visible) is the mudguard as shown.

The saddle and pedals are basic and out of my spares box and you may well want to change them. I have a rack which I think is this one http://www.discountcyclesdirect.co.uk/images/tortec_expedition_rear_rack.JPG (darker version) for £15 if you a want it. It is fine for heel clearance with small panniers but I would not recommend large ones or heavy touring

Please note I have had several emails on this bike so this same message is going to everyone. I am in Winchester, and will be in Huntingdon on Thurs and if I can avoid having to pack it up all the better!
