Ok it says to use cycle chat I must accept cookies,no problem . However I have yet to receive a single packet through the post . Chocolate chip are fine,no nuts please.
Mods can you please sort this out .

The cookies keep you signed in, tell you when you have new alerts, show you which threads have new posts since your last visit, etc. The site would be pretty dysfunctional without them.

It uses cookies for that. Any site that requires a sign in to do certain functions also requires cookies to keep track of the fact you are signed in.

There will also be a variety of other things for which cookies are needed, though the things like new posts probably won't be, that is more likely database records linked to your user.

I think you are probably right. Thinking about it signing in on different devices doesn't affect notifications or unread threads etc.

When I press ctrl+C to copy it does nothing, when I then press ctrl-P to paste it copies. I've never found out where the paste is supposed to appear.
