I've never ordered anything from Evans but have browsed their site quite a bit without speed issues. It may not have been their problem, it could have been any one of a number of network problems. I wouldn't let that put you off in future, may have been cured by now.

Only used them a handful of times but found them to be good.

Evans have been nothing short of great for me. Don't let it put you off - their customer service is 2nd to none.

I've never had a problem. There are occasions when there's something wrong with the internet and all or groups of web sites go slowly

Unfortunately I cant agree about service.

Ordered my bike on line and picked it up yesterday from the shop.

Got it home and found all the manuals were not in the owners pack and no tools. Contacted customer services who said ask the shop.

After much huffing and asking why I wanted the manuals for the gears, the shop agreed to send the manuals out in the post but said you only get tools if you get the bike delivered to the house as they build and set them up for store collection. Pointed out they advertise the delivered bikes as built and set up, all you need to do is attach the pedals and straighten the bars but that cut no ice.

Oh well their loss not mine, I'm happy with the bike but any tools, spares or repairs will be sourced else where. I guess it's like any chain depends who you get, sometimes you win sometimes you dont

In my defence I've only ever bought little things like lube and chains from them - never a bike. For smaller things they're great although that does sound a bit shoddy. Something I'd expect from Halfords.

I got my bike deliverd to the Birmingham branch, when they brought it through i saw it had SKS mudgaurds on it and a rack. The chap said that was how it was sent but they could take them off if you want. I did ask how much extra it would be, but he said don't worry about it.

I was as chuffed as a whippet, £250 bargain. Evans has always done right by me. Sorry you had problems.
