so june 13th this year in hospital L5 vertebrae collapsed, trapped sciatic nerve huge pain, 3.5 hours later titanium plate in facet joints, bone graft, stiched up back home, at this point I hadnt ridden a bike for some 30 years, after being badgered by my mate I bought my carerra as per earlier posts and today cracked my first 26 miles!!!! 1h 32 m to say i was ecstatic is an understatement! I hope this inspires others.

Wow!! Fantastic. Such an achievement in just 3 months. I will never moan about having cold knees ever again after reading everything that you've been through
