Just got my first pair of bib tights which were xl, they were very tight fit so changed them for xxl these are still snug, just wondering how they are supposed to fit??

What make are they? Some brands, especially the Italian ones come up small and can be bought in XXXXL or more! The UK brands like Altura and Endura should be more true to size

They are meant to be snug, but comfortable

Comfortably snug. They shouldn't be ruining your chances of children though.

Some makes, like Assos, are cut for an on-bike position, i.e. on the drops. Consequently, you do feel a little, um, bisected when standing upright in them.

Bottom line (ho ho) is though that if you're not happy with the fit then change them. It doesn't matter what it says on the label, cut it out if you want to!

They are muddyfox from sports direct I got a cheaper pair to start with incase they werent for me
Just got back from a ride 16.5 miles my furthest mileage again and went out in the new bib tights they felt good and the padded part really helped
maybe it's just a case of getting used to how they feel, if you don't often wear things like stretch skinny jeans, and who does  then you might not be used to your legs being snugly fitted

Yeah was relatively surprised how comfy it was actually

If you can stand up straight and they don't feel a bit uncomfortable they are too big. The main point is to keep your tackle from moving around and getting rubbed or trapped down the leg. For longer distances you will probably need some kind of cream, loads of choices.
And keep them clean if you don't want infections in that area.
