Went out today and 2 of my spokes snapped ,felt like i went over a small stone ,how much do lbs charge too do it ,ive contacted the dealer where i bought the wheels as only he got the spare spokes
mmmm usually around 7 pounds for a single spoke, less (per spoke) for two. You can do it yourself (tis cheaper and dead easy esp if its nt on the drive side of the rear - you'd need the tools to remove the casette) but even then its not diifficult nor is retruing the wheel. However I have found that spokes just keep on going - especially if they're not stainless steel spokes - so maybe best to get the whole lot replaced. Shall I assume its a rear wheel, drive side??
their the airline evo 31mm deep dish, flat bladed spokes ,i phoned my lbs and he said that they will start snapping now two has broke ,so im getting a price on ultegra sl 6600 rims today
Got hold of the guy and he is sending me the spokes for free and he is pretty sure the others will not snap just said i was unlucky ,but just bought new ultegra wheels now so i think i will use the new wheels and keep the others for spare ,and i got a pair of xr18 brand new in loft
