Smilies don't work in blog entries/comments that have been edited?

They do ... but ... and this is something that may apply to everyone for the moment ... you need to tick the box at the bottom that says Enable emoticons?.

I know it should be ticked by default, but isn't for some reason.

I'll report it as a support issue and see what the developers can do to fix it.

Turns out to have been an issue with the custom CC skin.

I've disabled a portion of additional HTML in the comment template and now it seems to be working fine.

Could you please double-check and confirm it's working okay for you now too?

Thanks Shaun, I've just had a go and it's the same.
The original problem seemed to be in editing replies, I now can't do that (guess they've timed out?) but in the original entry they're just showing as text, not emoticons

EDIT: Just gone back in and added a reply, that's working fine :thumbsup:
Also, the original blog entry is, in fact, working fine, it just defaults to not allowing emoticons. As soon as that's ticked, it all works perfectly, thank you :biggrin:

Incidentally, I've set it to draft to avoid cluttering until I add some useful entries, just in case you wondered.
