Small saddle bag

I'm thinking of getting a small saddle bag, so I can pop in a spare tube and tyre levers ..

Are there any good deals out there ?

I have an old Brooks sadle (on a road bike) of that helps, as I'm not sure how modern bags are attached. When the saddle was new (1970 on a Carlton) I had a leather pouch which was strapped on .. there are two slots atthe back of the saddle.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've got a Specialized Mini Wedgie, which is pretty small. Enough room to keep a puncture repair kit, tyre leavers, and a tube. You could probably squeeze a mini toolkit and keys in there too.

I've since got a slightly larger one though (Topeak Aero Wedge), so that I can store a few other things.

They fit to the saddle by looping the straps over the saddle rails and also a bit of velcro around the seat post to keep it from wobbling around.

I've just fitted a new Brooks saddle and have discovered that the Topeak saddle bag I had on the old saddle doesn't fit - it uses a plastic quick release bracket clamped to the saddle rails. Only the Brooks rails are too far apart for the bracket. So, I also need to find another solution. On one of my other bikes I've got a cheap Decathlon bag which fixes with velcro. Quality isn't bad and it's lighter then the Topeak one too. So, I may get another one of those.

Just invested in a Specialized Dirt Bag (the one with the 3 zips and velco straps ) to go under my B17. Lots of space, full repair emergency pack, 2 spare tubes and still sufficent room left for my phone, keys and gel or two.

Had a Altura Speed Saddle Bag previously but the bit for hanging the rear light broke and I lost my newSmart R2 so it had to go.

I use a Topeak Aero Wedge , easy to fit and looks neat and tidy on the bike ,

That's the sort of thing I had in the 70's .. but for £10 not bad at all.

I did email Planet X – you need the Brooks loop things on your saddle to fit it.
