Slow type speed in quick reply

When typing in the quick reply, my text takes a very long time to appear. The same thing happened when making this thread, but to a much lesser degree. I have been experiencing this for a long time now. I get around this problem by typing my reply in windows notepad and then copy/pasting it over. Do others experience this?

I occasionally see that, I usually put it down to a poor phone signal or heavy wi-fi traffic at the time. Although that could be total guff

This appears to be an issue for some device / browser combinations and can be got around by switching to the plain text editor.

If you can see the icons in the toolbar, click the spanner one on the far right:

It should switch modes leaving you with no toolbar, no visible text formatting and a text link at the bottom left to switch back:

You can then switch back and apply any formatting before posting.

Give it a try and see if it works any better for you?

I get this. I use Opera 12.16 on Linux Mint 16 XFCE 32bit
